Mun Kee Fish Head in Taman Midah, Cheras

Image
*Mun Kee is closed at Taman Midah. They have another brance near Leisure Mall area. 15 Jan 2016 - An update as I crave for curry fishhead and some simple Seremban omelette.  I was able to eat so much tofu puff, vegetables, there are quite a lot of fish meat as well, just that the curry base still need to be improved, it seems that there is just a taste of spicy, but not the rich texture of really as tasty like those in mamak. Of course, the classic omelette always come in handy....the typical recipe is the big onions, eggs, carrots and prawns. They are generous, they add on pork sausage for us... ### 9 August 2015 - I have been always loving steamed fish, especially when it comes to steamed fish head. Now this is a tricky part, I do not know and also afraid to steam a fish, probably is because the fish meat is soft, and it won't be nice if it is overcooked, it is all about your cooking skills, which is why... I was born as an eater and not a cook! Ah

24 Oct 2015 - I came across World Bachata Festival event when I saw Ms Yan Li posting in a facebook event group. And I was so curious what is Bachata all about, and it turned out to be so interesting!  So what is the festival all about? The festival focuses on celebrating Bachata, a sexy and sensual partner dance from the Dominican Republic. It will also include other popular Latin Rhythms like Salsa, Merengue, Zouk and Kizomba. Latin Dance lovers from Malaysia and the world will come together to experience an amazing, inspiring weekend! wow, now you feel like shaking your butt and sway your leg, huh? I was delighted when I was invited by Ms Liitha, the founder and organizer of the World Bachata Festival 2015. I invited another 3 of my lady buddies to join straight for the Saturday night - performance party on 24 Oct 2015 in Wisma Bentley. I was helping Ms Liitha to do some PR marketing and also blogger invitation. Talking about this, sighed, it was not easy to become a PR media

My CNY Celebration 2014 - Potluck Style

Image
8 Feb 2014 - Dong dong chiang! Alright, our very 1st year after getting married, and what do the Chinese will ask? "Eh, pretty, 1st year married couple need to give double angpow oh!" (=.=) No choice la, most important you are happy to get the angpow, it is a blessing for me anyway. Eh, hello, you need to come to my house to pay me a visit, or when we meet, only I give you angpow okay? *giggled. Well, I decided to do an open house, but buffet is so boring, and I am so terrible in cooking! So, how? And then, I decided to have Chinese New Year potluck style. Potluck style means each guests need to bring 1 type of food/ drinks/ fruits, we gather all the food and drinks, get to enjoy so many various food. Oh ya, we need to separate the non-halal and halal food, as we invited our Malay friends to join us to celebrate CNY. So this is the food list: I directly pack the delicious yong tau foo and crispy popiah from the famous Jalan Ipoh Yong tau foo . Ginny

My M Marini Caffe Diary 2014

Image
March - September 2014 - I was excited when M Marini Caffe opened in the early 2014. Imagine having a classic fine cafe in KLCC! I mean, most of the other cafes are either simply casual, or serving local Malaysia food. And if you love casual Italian food, you should go to M Marini Caffe. And so many of my friends tell me: "Oh, Marini has a cafe? It must be expensive like Marini on 57!" Dear all, at least you go and check out their website before judging and spreading the wrong words. It is affordable yet serving you quality food, okay? the cafe with the double TT (guess they want to be named differently), I mean the CAFFE is real good. And the best, you know that you always cannot bring small kids to Marini on 57? Well, you can bring your children to the caffe. Greeting you with beautiful flowers and a handsome statue. So I make a diary of my visit to the cafe, from March - September 2014, because I don't want to blog repeating info or food pictures. So,
