Jis club - world first social lounge in KL

Image
11 Sept 2020 - Have you heard of jis club? Jinseini irodoriwo soeru = adding colors to life. The world first social Lounge. Japan's award winning social lounge bar. Being posh and plush, this social club concept started off in japan, and now they have their bar in kl, apart from those in japan. I'm surprised the founder choose kl as his 2nd preferred places out of japan. The whole lounge bar is 10000 sqft, with dazzling chandelier lights, posh sofas. Colorful vibes. Chic atmosphere. Ladies get to enjoy 300 different kinds of drinks and cocktails and fingerfood. I must say their appetiser and starter are really good. We basically hop on all different kind of food on the menu. They even have ice breaking games in the system. We joke for the fish keropok, they name it as fish finger food. Oh, did you know that ladies aged at 21 - 40 years old may dress up and enjoy the food and beverages for FREE. Yes, free, with some terms and conditions on the matching conditions. There are some...

Sungai gabai waterfall Hulu Langat - natural water slide

Image
20 Aug 2020 - I have did some research to find family friendly and some waterfall where we can reach within entrance or a short walk for a cool dip. And the waterfall needs to be suitable for young kids too. So the final lists (if I'm not wrong) are: 1) Chamang, Pahang (waterfall upon entrance but far) 2) Sg Gabai (natural waterfall slide) 3) kemensah (can't c the waterfall from photos , more to a still water stream) 4) serendah (together with orang asli kampong, after rawang) 5) Sg congkak (a still water pond) 6) kanching, templer, rawang (waterfall upon entrance) And finally we decided to go for Gabai because it has waterfall slide, and it's still considered within klang valley area. (worried of traffic jam if away from kl). Sg Gabai is managed by the kampong community. Noting that all these nature trials or outdoor activities seem to have paid tickets instead of free and easy style back then. Of course, we understand the basic maintenance keeping up the surrounding is im...

1 day trip to sekinchan

Image
paddy Gallery . Basically I was informed there was nothing much to see in the paddy field, yet we still come to explore the paddy factory. Full crowd just to come to buy the rice. Rm5 for the ticket entrance to know what is rice, the rice varieties, and nothing much got us to see. However, the ticket seller gives us 1 small packet of rice in a return of the rm5 tickets value per pax. A simple introduction of the paddy harvesting, the importance of rice, etc. So I know they have normal rice, fragrant rice, pearl rice, brown rice, basmati rice. Then, they display many vintage classic props as if it's like a vintage antique museum. A ice shaving ice, and some 2 big roll of rice straw displayed near the entrance for a quick selfie. Opposite the paddy Gallery, there is a big duck for us to selfie with the sekinchan cuti-cuti signboard. they sell this so call "blue tears 蓝眼泪" for rm6 for 1 small tiny bottle of glowing handmade sands. We pick the blue ones of course. Next stop....

Leprosy Valley of hope, Sungai Buloh Leprosy Settlement

Image
[Life in quarantine] 13 Dec 2019 - In these houses in such a big land, they build a community and make their own town... Cause they live with dignity and hope. Leprosy Valley Of Hope, a ngo project with the mission of storytelling about what happened in the past, what's left in the present, and what will happen in the future... You should come here and experience the 2 hour walking tour and a glimpse of the remaining leprosy 麻疯 survivors. Leprosy Story Gallery In 1922, Dr. E. A.O. Travers, a high-ranking health official at the Setapak leprosy asylum saw the terrible conditions the leprosy patients were living in. He then proposed to the British government that a fully-equipped and more humane leprosarium be built at Sungai Buloh. In 1930, the Sungai Buloh Settlement was officially opened. It catered specifically for those suffering from leprosy, which at that time was considered an incurable disease. Dewan Orang Ramai Sungai Buloh, which was opened by Malaysia first prime m...
