Image
5-6 Nov 2022: Come check this! A total brand new experience as it's a matter of taste when it comes to Guinness stout. 4 different zones to let you experience the process of making the real stout. Zone 1 roasting: Experience the 232 heat for Guinness dark Ruby red. Zone 2 taste maze: Hop into a maze of hop for double hop, double flavours. Zone 3 nitrogen chamber: A mystery 3 million nitrogen bubbles to create the creamy head of Guinness Draught. Zone 4 widget pool: And the last bubbly slide where nitrogen gas replicate the smooth and creamy draught. Later, you get to take part in some simple interactive activities, especially when the staff let's us try two different stout type - smooth draught vs extra stout can. A smell of the the double hops and Guinness yeast, making me understanding the real creation of Guinness stout. The most amazing feeling I had was having a big casual outdoor venue setup, great music vibes, and everyone chill as we were in a club over the casual weeke...

Roofdeck - lake view, chic lounge, low rooftop bar

Image
16 Sept 2020 - Sunset lounge chilling... No need high up rooftop bar.. This is only like the 3rd or 4th floor... Seems they have good barologist doing very good cocktails. But the food... Hmm.. Too spicy here and there.. Too much chilli powder or pepper spread on the food. Food taste is average.  However, the whole roofdeck set up and designs are nicely done. Look chic yet casual. If you are looking for a rooftop sunset restaurant that have family concept, you may consider Roofdeck. Hallaway kl, rooftop sky view casual dining

Image
Heard of this affordable rooftop sky dining... its an interesting food hall lounge bar concept because rooftop with really cool set up, no pricey fusion food, family kids friendly, and everyone is in casual wear, drinking cheap beer, whole enjoying the sunset view. It can be really one of a kind as it serves anyone at all ages. I'm happy finally we do not need to only get stuck at fine dining or high end sky bar! Food to recommend: pasta, lok lok Thai tomyam soup, sweet dessert, burger. Average: skewers (but it always served cold by the time they serve us on the table) , sichuan fried snack. Others food: Korean, burger, Japanese. Cheap beer promo, like 10 mugs beer at rm110. Also serve good range of international wines, shooters, liquors. Is your phone always low in battery? Not everyone wanna bring a bulky powerbank during an outing. Check out this Mycharge where you can rent their powerbank and charge your phone on-the-go! It costs only RM 0.50 for every 30 minutes. All you need...

My favourite alcohol list - wine, prosecco, beer

Image
24 Oct 2019 - It must be sad cause now I need to rely on my blog to search for what I have done in the past - drink, travel, and eating hunting session! >.< Despite this, I would say my memory loss could be amazing, which is why now I need to compile my favourite wine list, haha! I won't say I am a wine expert, but I like to go for the love blind wine dating instead. Which a wine supplier friend did tell me: "You gonna find the wine that you love, and just stick with it!" I did found one when I have the chance to share the wine drinking moment with one of the directors of a big corporation (YTL) in Lot 10. 1) Pinot Noir - Cloudy Bay was definitely my 'love at first wine taste'. For me, it was smooth and ripe texture which I just love it at the first sip. Long taste, delicate nature and red berry, medium bodied. https://us.cloudybay.co.nz/our-wines/pinot-noir/pinot-noir-2016 and then lately, as in Oct 2019, ehem, I found my second wine l...

9 Vines Festival by Dionysus Asia - The Longest Monthly Wine Festival

Image
30 Sept 2018 - I was excited to get to know the Ampang neighborhood will be the first area to host the 9 Vine festival, which also the first wine festival organized by Dionysus Asia. So all the canopies are ready to set up for today's wine marathon event. So all you need to was to pay a 9 vine wine glass RM10 as the deposit, as you go around to taste and see which wine is your favourite and you gonna bring back home. So why is it called 9 Vine Festival? These was because Dionysus Asia offers more than 80 kinds of wines from the top 9 wineries, that are: Participating Wineries: Casa vinicola Sartori (Italy) Rockcliffe (Australia) Boschendal (South Africa) Heartland Wines Australia Balduzzi Wines (Chile) Vallformosa Cava Spain Château Bertinerie (France) Glaetzer (Australia) Stanley Estates NZ (New Zealand) Had a chance to meet the famous Singaporean veteran mixologist Jeff Ho (何满圆), where Jeff showcased the "Flavour Genius" of DA VINCI Gourmet Malaysia (DVG), co...

PS150 Speakeasy bar - The hidden bar with own cocktails creation

Image
6 July 2018 - Finally came to ps150, my long awaited bar list. Imagine one shop lot split among a stationary shop by daylight, and left is merchant lane, transversing of local Malaysia culture with amazing interior deco.  A big signboard written "cheng and huang toys and Co 大陈黄" and  I was thinking wa, do they sell the antique toys for real? Just a deck, as you step into the similar basement /underground speakeasy bar. Brick walls by the narrow corridor for a 2-3 tables seatings x 5-6 tables... Else walk your way all the way to the back. Here you get to see another face of ps150. Min 10 bar tenders gonna serve you nice south Asia cocktails. Bar area probably fits in 25-30 pax max. Playing very cool lounge music. Iconic sign is the neon light Petaling Street 茨厂街. It's a cool place for hangout asides from those big boy's bars.  Was cool with their sk exercise book design, unfortunately I'm not here to study. Also seems that some peop...
