Advantage and Disadvantage - Health supplements, protein powder, exercise, genuine fitness coach


Along the path of fitness coaching and, diet, health, and weight loss program, I am sure you will be approached by someone who recommend you take supplements. Some could be protein whey, mass from GNC, some could be direct sales of protein powder or meal replacement drinks such as nutrilite, amway, Herbalife, asana, etc.


You ask me necessary? It is all depends on you.

· Are the people who slim successfully are the right coach? I am not sure. You see, everyone is born with different size and shape. What works for them, might not work for you.

· Those who sell supplement, are they real coach?
They can be a coach, regardless they are being self-taught, guided by at least an experience fitness mentor, or at least got working experience in fitness industry for 1-2 years minimum. Or else getting a fitness cert course in 1 day might not be sufficient. Of course, there are many informative articles online, those generic ones, it is about the same.



· Are the fitness coach doing it the right way? We have the (monkey see, monkey do) situation. Some coach born to be knowledge like an online dictionary/ or your fitness google dictionary. Some gym members just follow whichever masculine guy is trying to do, but still unsure if they are doing right.

· Does MLM or health supplement really help? Do you know for a successful diet and health program, the formula is pretty simple: 80% diet, 20% workout? Meaning to say today if you choose NOT TO exercise, just monitor what you eat. They are the same old things, less oil, sweet, salt, fried snacks, less carbs.

· Is it necessary for us to take supplements? If you think you really have no time at all to eat properly, then MEAL REPLACEMENT powder is meant to REPLACE YOUR MEAL. If you are taking protein powder + meal replacement drinks + eating solid food that frequent, it is double up all the nutrients your body need. Hence, it is not necessary, unless you have a target, for eg: obese, overweight, you really want to keep in a good shape and be health conscious, then you can consider take intensive diet + workout program. If you think you have sufficient natural proteins intake via food and drinks, why bother to take powder or supplement form? Unless you went for medical check up and it turns out you lack certain nutrients.

· How do I know if I had enough of nutrition? Well, if your body is that weak, probably a doctor complete check up will determine what you are lacking.


 

· Once, I did ask a doctor nutritionist, is all the health supplements or meal replacement drinks do any good to our body? Can we consume it forever?

The dietician and nutritionist told me that she used to treat patient who is obsessed with all these supplement drinks. A high protein diet long term may cause waste products to slowly build up in the blood and lead to kidney damage among people with impaired kidney function.

In the end, balance is still the main key. Diet, exercise, and sleep are three pillars of a healthy life.

Whenever we talk about “diet”, don’t freak out with unhealthy food, it is not necessary that you must eat salad your whole life to stay healthy. Just don’t grab fried chicken or having cheat days everyday, and you shall be fine.
