The hill restaurant and bar, cheras - indian curry specialty
11 dec 2020 - The place that makes Indian curry food just right. Cause most bars serve western food. New Indian chef but don't have my claypot curry meat anymore (old chef left).
Come here if you wanna grab a beer and eat some Indian and fusion food. Their western food is very simple, and it's what you pay for. Cheap and just simple. Mushroom soup full of starches, burger is okay.
I like the carlsberg history old photos frames deco but I am not a fan of carlsberg cause it's very sour. 😅
Initially i thought why the name as the hill but the bar is not at the hill. After chatting with the owner's daughter, only she shares that the hill was named because the owner likes to do mountain hiking.
A cooling draughts beer shall made the day. But the food is absolutely delicious.
Unlike commercial bar finger food or snacks. The kitchen introduces fusion western asian menu.
I ordered spaghetti chicken bolognese but it has too. Much pepper, hence spicy for the kids. The kitchen made me another one.
Pounded chicken roulade rolled up and being roasted, creating softer breast meat if comparing with the usual chicken breast. The portion is average, not big not small.
The salted egg chicken wing is absolutely aromatic and delicious. Deep-fried chicken wing later on smeared across fresh salted egg sauce with curry leaves and chilli padi.
The best is claypot chicken varuval. Spicy dry fried chicken with very minimal gravy sauce. Fiercely hot spicy originated from southern Indian. Its even drier than rendang sauce. I believe the flavour fully absorbed into the soft chicken meats as they cook using claypot. Fennel seeds, cumin seeds, dry chilli, coriander seeds.
Family-friendly and pork-free.
