Sungai gabai waterfall Hulu Langat - natural water slide

Image
20 Aug 2020 - I have did some research to find family friendly and some waterfall where we can reach within entrance or a short walk for a cool dip. And the waterfall needs to be suitable for young kids too. So the final lists (if I'm not wrong) are: 1) Chamang, Pahang (waterfall upon entrance but far) 2) Sg Gabai (natural waterfall slide) 3) kemensah (can't c the waterfall from photos , more to a still water stream) 4) serendah (together with orang asli kampong, after rawang) 5) Sg congkak (a still water pond) 6) kanching, templer, rawang (waterfall upon entrance) And finally we decided to go for Gabai because it has waterfall slide, and it's still considered within klang valley area. (worried of traffic jam if away from kl). Sg Gabai is managed by the kampong community. Noting that all these nature trials or outdoor activities seem to have paid tickets instead of free and easy style back then. Of course, we understand the basic maintenance keeping up the surrounding is im

A plus nasi lemak @ 28 boulevard, Pandan Perdana lake

Image
Are you game for some local Malaysia nasi lemak with Pedas giler sambal? We tried this new outlet named A plus nasi lemak, where they have few branches in kepong and setapak area. By the way, I feel its quite chic with the ambience. They have tables and chairs in bronze material, simple chic wallpaper. Part of their tables side are made of sewing machine wheel set up.  Now they opened a new branch just right next to pandan perdana lake. As for their coffee, it's merely from the coffee powder, hence, it is average.  1) chicken chop mushroom sauce, French fries, white rice. The boneless chicken thigh was a juicy tender version, and less pepperish KFC chicken. I believe the mushrooms was Minced into pieces. I'm not sure when we have French fries, why there is rice to be served, cause both are carbs. 2) the sizzling plate curry mutton rice was aromatic definitely, as it was served sizzling hot, to be something different rather than just same plate of plain nasi lemak. However, the

1 day trip to kuala selangor

Image
31 July 2020 - After we 'check out' at sekinchan, we drive to kuala selangor.  We missed out bukit melawati Hill tram ride as now they offer only tram ride rm3 to Go up to the Lighthouse and the surroundings.  Reached 6pm also useless... The restaurant is full of people already! Queue for 40mins, manage to get a table, dishes was served after another waiting time of 40 mins. We finished the meal at 915pm..totally exhausted just queue and waiting for the meal. At jetty Seafood restaurant, thumbs up for the drunken prawn soup, lala meehoon, oyster omelette. We manage to snap the sunset view by the Riverside. You can do a quick stop to buy prawn crackers at this shop named number 168. They bake fresh tou sah piah and heong bing, the traditional Malaysian delicacies. The extraordinary pitstop: sasaran art park kuala selangor. An ngo community project that was initiated for more than 10 years. The indoor gallery will only to be open if you happened to call to request to have a view

1 day trip to sekinchan

paddy Gallery . Basically I was informed there was nothing much to see in the paddy field, yet we still come to explore the paddy factory. Full crowd just to come to buy the rice. Rm5 for the ticket entrance to know what is rice, the rice varieties, and nothing much got us to see. However, the ticket seller gives us 1 small packet of rice in a return of the rm5 tickets value per pax. A simple introduction of the paddy harvesting, the importance of rice, etc. So I know they have normal rice, fragrant rice, pearl rice, brown rice, basmati rice. Then, they display many vintage classic props as if it's like a vintage antique museum. A ice shaving ice, and some 2 big roll of rice straw displayed near the entrance for a quick selfie. Opposite the paddy Gallery, there is a big duck for us to selfie with the sekinchan cuti-cuti signboard. they sell this so call "blue tears 蓝眼泪" for rm6 for 1 small tiny bottle of glowing handmade sands. We pick the blue ones of course. Next stop.
