Golden dragonboat Chinese restaurant - CNY poon choy

Wow, seems poon choy sells better than whole CNY set lunch... The key is the broth or sauce base where each layer of seafood, meat, vegetables, mushroom, need to be well cooked and also taste delicious. Golden steamboat did a great CNY poon choy this time round. Fried fresh prawns, Chinese mushrooms, scallop stuffed using white radish, my favorite fatt Choy, sea cucumber, 猪根 pork tendon, classy abalones. 



The others meat, however were imbalanced. We keep 'digging' lots of braised pork knuckles and duck meat, very little chicken meats, surprise that we get lots of goose palms, and we feel uncomfortable trying those.

Ps: parking rate rm5 during CNY with some old mafias threats, otherwise normally it's free parking.

24 Sept 2020 - Everyone go gaga with 'hainam' and 冰室 as the coffeeshop names nowadays. Actually hainam is also the same as cham. Here is the menu, expensive or cheap? I am not sure why there is a hype naming the coffeeshop 冰室 cause the chinese words are more towards Hong Kong style. The neighbors were talking about this new hainam tea coffeeshop at Yulek. So, I went to try this siham sambal petai char keoy teow priced at rm9. What do you think of this combination? Good taste or merely for bring unique and viral? For me, the petai couldnt fit in together with the CKT. BUT, the belacan is so freshly done and very spicy. The cook didnt use the normal belacan paste (dark red color). On the wok hei part, the plate of char keoy teow taste is blanch though. As for the coffee, I personally think their hainam coffee taste nicer than hainam tea. The hainam tea was tasteless on this day, but my 1st visit ordering hainam coffee is good.
