Icc pudu - ginger wine noodles, ah weng kor coffee, Drunken chicken bun



19 may 2020: Despite all the usual wonton noodles, curry mee, pork noodles.. I ask him what stall got sell special food. So i ordered his:

1)imbi pasar ginger wine noodles. Generous ginger and eggs given to me this time, huhu. 
2) signature dark soy sauce thin.. noodles, i bought 2nd time..kindly read the description at the blog below. 
3) dunno whicb aunty stall sour spicy laksa noodle. Basically aunty use mui choy, tomatoes, sour plum to make the soup. Not really spicy.. Hardly tasted any spicy ingredients in it. She added bursting pork meatball and thin sliced pork belly, asam laksa noodle.. Surprisingly an interesting new recipe that i would never thought of such recipe. 
4) the famous deep fried nian gao, pure nian gao, 3in1 nian gao, big fried pisang goreng. Wow, didnt realise it's such a big size the banana fritters! Fine tempura flour texture. And very big thick nian gao. 

5) ah weng koh hainam gao gao coffee, aromatic local coffee as usual. 




24 April 2020 - Mco diary: recommended by Cheras Mommy belinda that I must try to order food at icc pudu. Famous for many locak kl food at icc pudu, I have ordered and finally tried ah weng kor hainam tea. Always long queue and I skip it. Ah weng kor coffee is definitely a caffeine booster, adding in their classic kaya butter toast bread 

Imbi pasar ginger wine noodles, cooking for over 30 years, have their stall g20 at icc pudu since 2016.

During this lockdown, they sell all their signature wok fried noodles.

Their signature noodles is definitely a thumbs up, I regret I only order one box, cause my kids finish all. For Signature noodles, they are using a similar yee mee but thinner size. Seller told me it is named as wan tuo mee, a Hong Kong mee type. Its different than the 长寿面. Its Cantonese type of sang mee. Then I think the secret is definitely on their dark sauce.... And the wok temperature... Very good wok hei, and every bite is a darn good springy noodles. 


Ginger wine soup. First, taste of salty, later on a little aromatic tipsy Drunken wine taste. And later on, as you drink finish the soup, you start to taste the ginger kick. Definitely sweat out after finishing the whole bowl. Lots of eggs, pork meats, and few mini prawns give you a good portion.


And lastly, I tried to tumpang order this 6 pcs of Drunken wine chicken mini pao... Its like the version of xiao long bao...heat up and 2 bites finish one pc... It contains the bbq juicy sauce as you bite the mini bun.
