Qasar Balqis (Ampang branch) grand opening

7 July 2018 - Congratulations to qasar balqis (Ampang branch) grand opening. Our minister of housing and local government - YB zuraida kamaruddin officiate the grand opening, with it totally revamp new building. 


Qasar balqis stands for palace with 360 windows where the sunlight shines everyday. Can't imagine how much they spent to build the new castle. Bright lights, marble shining floors, natural earth brown furniture, with lightbox pillar. This is my first time trying Yemeni/Middle Eastern buffet food. 


They have very good hospitality, massive choices of salad, kebab, grilled meat platter, fruits platter, appetizer, rice mandy, fresh naan bread, it's such a big feast and it's an eye opening foodie experience indeed. 



My favourite is the hummus and kebab when it comes to Middle Eastern food.
I wonder what time the chef start cooking and wonder if the guests can finish that many food or not... 😅

24 Sept 2020 - Everyone go gaga with 'hainam' and 冰室 as the coffeeshop names nowadays. Actually hainam is also the same as cham. Here is the menu, expensive or cheap? I am not sure why there is a hype naming the coffeeshop 冰室 cause the chinese words are more towards Hong Kong style. The neighbors were talking about this new hainam tea coffeeshop at Yulek. So, I went to try this siham sambal petai char keoy teow priced at rm9. What do you think of this combination? Good taste or merely for bring unique and viral? For me, the petai couldnt fit in together with the CKT. BUT, the belacan is so freshly done and very spicy. The cook didnt use the normal belacan paste (dark red color). On the wok hei part, the plate of char keoy teow taste is blanch though. As for the coffee, I personally think their hainam coffee taste nicer than hainam tea. The hainam tea was tasteless on this day, but my 1st visit ordering hainam coffee is good.

Both are really jokers who can talk a lot of good jokes with you.
