Penang Street Art at Armenia Street

24 March 2018 - Thanks to Penang council having mural artist Ernest Zacharevic to start mural wall art, the tourism spot has been phenomenal. Saying this is because no one really promote mural art as legit only till it was famous ever since 2013. Armenian street is declared as one of the UNESCO heritage site. What's special about Penang street art is to use solid props

Stick firmly to the wall or create creative 3d art from its existing building architecture.

No tour guide, no art signboards, you have to be on foot to c where the crowd heading to, or just explore yourself to find all 20 mural arts, referring to a traditional street map. Perhaps a tour guide or some big board tour guide should make things easier. We don't have much time and with small kids under hot sun, we can't explore slowly ended up like roasted BBQ chicken.

Passed by big bowl shop and I thought they display the big bowls, I didn't know they really serve such big bowls of ramen!

Went to Armenian house for a quick sip of coffee, but it's lemongrass drink tasted weird, not to my liking. Disappointed too not be able to bump into any obvious local coffee shop, more for tourists' modern cafe.

Saw pedestrian in a big colorful lollipops ice, turned out this 70s ice ball maker making ice ball with asam boi, rice bowl size, adding syrup as finishing.

You need to suck the ice, as syrup color fades, turned the ice on the syrup color, and start sucking again.

Ming xiang tai 名香泰 offers fluffy, slightly bigger egg tarts (compared with Kl egg tarts) ,siew bao and many local baked pastry and delicacies.
