National Zoo or Zoo Negara - 5000 animal species

13 May 2018 - Family trip to zoo, first time visiting for my kids. Since Nov 1963, over 5000 animal species - birds, mammal, aquarium, panda, butterfly, hippo, rhino, etc. 

 

So so many deers here and there by the way. 



Improving bit by bit, happy to see the zebras and giraffes in a bigger grass field by nature. 



Flamingo walking freely by the lake and orang utan swinging on the trees are all close up sight. Entertaining sea lion and parrot performance, parrots recognize rm10 red note in your hand, if you want to offer tips as appreciation.

Kids are trying to catch the sight of the animals by far, finally seeing them for real off from the TV visuals. 

Reptiles zone under maintenance, didn't get to see snakes.



We manage to see male panda, xing xing as mama panda liang liang just delivered baby daughter panda cub. Her bigger sister nuan nuan was sent back to China unfortunately, despite Malaysia is loaning both giant pandas, sad to see nuan nuan is away from their parents.

Entrance fee adults RM40-80. Kids rm15-40. Crazy price. Why can't it be any cheaper? 

Photobooth and photographers are around to take your photos, yet they didn't tell us any fixed price. Again open price for bargain or charge you base on their secret price, sighed. 


Bee museum are pretty just more for selling bee or honey items, not active.

Food, cafe and souvenirs shop available as usual. A soft drink can costs rm5-8, but that's normal for enclosed private edutainment centre. 

Tram ride priced rm5-10. Driver guide tries to name the animals as he drive passing by but hardly hear him, perhaps a simple headband microphone help the veteran tour guide, pity him.

RESTORAN CHAN HAINAM KOPITIAM 赞记海南冰 yulek cheras - petai char keoy teow, hainam coffee

24 Sept 2020 - Everyone go gaga with 'hainam' and 冰室 as the coffeeshop names nowadays. Actually hainam is also the same as cham. Here is the menu, expensive or cheap? I am not sure why there is a hype naming the coffeeshop 冰室 cause the chinese words are more towards Hong Kong style. The neighbors were talking about this new hainam tea coffeeshop at Yulek. So, I went to try this siham sambal petai char keoy teow priced at rm9. What do you think of this combination? Good taste or merely for bring unique and viral? For me, the petai couldnt fit in together with the CKT. BUT, the belacan is so freshly done and very spicy. The cook didnt use the normal belacan paste (dark red color). On the wok hei part, the plate of char keoy teow taste is blanch though. As for the coffee, I personally think their hainam coffee taste nicer than hainam tea. The hainam tea was tasteless on this day, but my 1st visit ordering hainam coffee is good.

9 Aug 2018 - Fell down from stairs having my ankle swollen again, so came back here for good sinsei Chinese medicine practitioner again.
