19 June 2018 - This my forth visit to the modern Nam Heong Ipoh coffee shop. Fancy with its ipad order and the viral robot waiter through online, we will just focus on its signature food and drinks.

 

Must buy: Nam heong fluffy crispy egg custard tarts, flaky BBQ chicken buns (chicken sou in Cantonese). 


Aromatic smooth white coffee. Unlike those instant powder, you get a chance to taste the fresh white coffee. However, I had tasted different white Coffee taste from different outlets. 
Sometimes it's too sweet, sometimes it was just nice, thought the staffs are making the coffee recipe based on sop.

 

Their main course was average, of course we can't expect too notch taste like Ipoh, good enough for your ipoh food craving - ipoh ho fun keoy trow soup, wanton noodles, chee Cheong fun. 


The best is that you can enjoy traditional ipoh food in air conditioning place in shopping centre in Kl.

24 Sept 2020 - Everyone go gaga with 'hainam' and 冰室 as the coffeeshop names nowadays. Actually hainam is also the same as cham. Here is the menu, expensive or cheap? I am not sure why there is a hype naming the coffeeshop 冰室 cause the chinese words are more towards Hong Kong style. The neighbors were talking about this new hainam tea coffeeshop at Yulek. So, I went to try this siham sambal petai char keoy teow priced at rm9. What do you think of this combination? Good taste or merely for bring unique and viral? For me, the petai couldnt fit in together with the CKT. BUT, the belacan is so freshly done and very spicy. The cook didnt use the normal belacan paste (dark red color). On the wok hei part, the plate of char keoy teow taste is blanch though. As for the coffee, I personally think their hainam coffee taste nicer than hainam tea. The hainam tea was tasteless on this day, but my 1st visit ordering hainam coffee is good.
