Kohi Yatta - Fusion Western Japanese Cafe, indoor Kids playground

11 May 2018 - Finally visited the talk about kids friendly kohi yatta. Was here to celebrate after ge14 victory.


Located at Sungai best, just next to a car showroom and highway. A simple spacious cafe design serving you fusion western Japanese bento menu. 



Kids area is fantastic, basically a square fencing, contain Ikea kitchen set, soft toys, books, cars, etc. 


Somehow, the food wasn't match along as shown in their photos. Deep fried crispy prawns has not much enhanced taste in the prawn meat. Pasta portion is too little, could be less than 70g dry pasta. 




Japanese onigiri, tamagoyaki, green peas, these are fines, but suddenly paired up with croissant..erm...pure salty for the miso soup.
Didn't try their coffee so no comment.

Portion are okay for Bento, not for pasta. Priced rm25-35 per order.

RESTORAN CHAN HAINAM KOPITIAM 赞记海南冰 yulek cheras - petai char keoy teow, hainam coffee

24 Sept 2020 - Everyone go gaga with 'hainam' and 冰室 as the coffeeshop names nowadays. Actually hainam is also the same as cham. Here is the menu, expensive or cheap? I am not sure why there is a hype naming the coffeeshop 冰室 cause the chinese words are more towards Hong Kong style. The neighbors were talking about this new hainam tea coffeeshop at Yulek. So, I went to try this siham sambal petai char keoy teow priced at rm9. What do you think of this combination? Good taste or merely for bring unique and viral? For me, the petai couldnt fit in together with the CKT. BUT, the belacan is so freshly done and very spicy. The cook didnt use the normal belacan paste (dark red color). On the wok hei part, the plate of char keoy teow taste is blanch though. As for the coffee, I personally think their hainam coffee taste nicer than hainam tea. The hainam tea was tasteless on this day, but my 1st visit ordering hainam coffee is good.
