22 July 2018 - Passed by kak lian bao and kuih yday. Kak lian operates sell and takeaway in their own house in Ampang. Making handmade buns, some kuih and loh mai gai. Opens only Mon - sat I think 9am@6pm. Opens only on special Sunday's if kak lian didn't go for outing. Overall just happy to have someone doing handmade bun at least, the fillings are quite a good portion, not really salty either. Loh mai gai average. Yet to try others but if you are fed up with factory steamed bun, you can try find kak lian at Ampang.

24 Sept 2020 - Everyone go gaga with 'hainam' and 冰室 as the coffeeshop names nowadays. Actually hainam is also the same as cham. Here is the menu, expensive or cheap? I am not sure why there is a hype naming the coffeeshop 冰室 cause the chinese words are more towards Hong Kong style. The neighbors were talking about this new hainam tea coffeeshop at Yulek. So, I went to try this siham sambal petai char keoy teow priced at rm9. What do you think of this combination? Good taste or merely for bring unique and viral? For me, the petai couldnt fit in together with the CKT. BUT, the belacan is so freshly done and very spicy. The cook didnt use the normal belacan paste (dark red color). On the wok hei part, the plate of char keoy teow taste is blanch though. As for the coffee, I personally think their hainam coffee taste nicer than hainam tea. The hainam tea was tasteless on this day, but my 1st visit ordering hainam coffee is good.
