Nine Emperor Gods Festival at Ampang

It is indeed such interesting facts. The Nine Emperor Gods (九皇星君/九皇大帝) are the nine sons manifested by Father Emperor Zhou Yu Dou Fu Yuan Jun (斗父周御國王天尊) and Mother of the Big Dipper Dou Mu Yuan Jun (斗母元君) who holds the Registrar of Life and Death. The Chinese will held a nine-day Taoist celebration beginning on the eve of 9th lunar month of the Chinese calendar. During this Nine Emperor Gods Festival, everyone is encouraged to be vegetarian throughout the nine days period of time.

So here we go, on the date of 20th October 2012, I headed over to Ampang temple and checked out the Nine Emperor Gods Festival. Address: Jalan Merdeka, Ampang New Village, Ampang, Selangor.
