Fancy hakke cuisine in cheras? Probably a quick stop at A'Tan coffee shop and restaurant. Not really a coffee shop but an air-conditioned restaurant. Family business, son and parents running the daily operations.

Decent dishes, moderate portion as we order the hakka abacus, braised rice (pork with eggs), its lei cha has its fresh fragrant scent of the soup tea.

Spinach noodles topped with blended ginger sauces and chicken.

Even the coffee and the cucumber sour plum are refreshing. But smaller size of glass.

Now i recall why I didn't come here regularly. Everytime I finish eating, it is fully packed with ajinamoto,making me drinking so much of water.

24 Sept 2020 - Everyone go gaga with 'hainam' and 冰室 as the coffeeshop names nowadays. Actually hainam is also the same as cham. Here is the menu, expensive or cheap? I am not sure why there is a hype naming the coffeeshop 冰室 cause the chinese words are more towards Hong Kong style. The neighbors were talking about this new hainam tea coffeeshop at Yulek. So, I went to try this siham sambal petai char keoy teow priced at rm9. What do you think of this combination? Good taste or merely for bring unique and viral? For me, the petai couldnt fit in together with the CKT. BUT, the belacan is so freshly done and very spicy. The cook didnt use the normal belacan paste (dark red color). On the wok hei part, the plate of char keoy teow taste is blanch though. As for the coffee, I personally think their hainam coffee taste nicer than hainam tea. The hainam tea was tasteless on this day, but my 1st visit ordering hainam coffee is good.
