Decades cafe 一甲子食苑 - the real chee cheong fun





Are you a fan of chee cheong fun? Chee cheong hun has its history of why its being named as such, as it rolls it looks like the pork intestines.

It's always just a classic rice flour carbs being garnished off with sweet brown sauce, chilli sauce sesame oil, fried shallots.

Of course many search for variation and @decadecafe li jin takes over her father mission, passion and legacy to bring the best chee cheong fun to klang Valley folks.

100% rice flour handmade everyday, unlike those machine made mass production. The first time in my life I will feel full eating a chee cheong fun.


We ordered
1)the original classic

2)sengkuang filled chee cheong fun - like a popiah roll but with chee cheong fun on the outside.the key is the skill of wrapping the big fillings carefully without breaking the skin. The usual yam beans, dried prawns, mushrooms, carrots, etc
 
3) stir fry chee cheong fun (reminded me my love of XO fry chee cheong fun from 旺角mong kok cafe)
4)The steam yam cake with dried prawns wasn't bad as not many people really do it so well nowadays


5) Crystal clear glutinous sticky rice was a kabomb with a mouthful watery of mushrooms, peanuts, shallots, and many more. Don't look down on this small yet almighty sticky rice.


6) I thought it was just some basic curry potatoes but turn out a few big chunks of chicken meat. Savoury spices with earthy flavour in the turmeric curry color.
Of course, curry always give a great appetising taste bud in everything.

My gf says must take note of pickled green chilli cause no one serve such way. And I just realised oooo.. So that's why I tasted a little sourish somehow as I was eating the ccf.

Drinks: Fu chuk, coffee Blend : Brazil and Columbia coffee bean with small amount of Java Robusta. Aiya.. Why no local hainam coffee?
