Charis Shining Star Open Day - Cheras

20 Oct 2018 - You might be hearing lots of recommendation about Charis Shining Star in Cheras, a fun- learning kindergarten using FUN GATES system. They blend in some Christian learning moral value since next to the kindergarten is their Charis Church.

And by the time you are googling or facebook search, you hardly find anything online. This happens to me, and the only way of communicating with the Principal - Mrs Lee.

You can only communicate with the teachers or principal using the traditional method, which is by calling or emailing.

No whatsapp text, no personal hp number.

This is the Principal.

Hence all the modern technology, or walk in for inquiry, Mrs Lee still advised me to go to their open day, as I can't see much and I might interrupt the ongoing classes.

They also don't allow photos, videos, or you taking back their program/ timetable.

Hence, I take note and attended their open day. True enough, it is really impressive.





It is the first time I have ever see a proper science laboratory for the children! Ain't it look exciting for the kids?




So this is the pre-school Years 4 learning system. okay, learning big, medium, small at year 4. ^^





This is for 4 years old learning program as well.




This is to learn the maths and clock time etc for Year 5.




This is for Year 5, where your kid will start to learn suku kata for BM.



Gosh, learning 量词 collective nouns at such a young age! Well, the kids memory and intelligence nowadays are amazing, I am sure they manage to catch up.




This is extra learning language classes if your parents feel that your kids need improvement. This is to get your 6 years old kid getting ready for SRJK (c) Chinese school syllabus.

This is additional and not a compulsory class.




Now this is the 6 years old territory learning area.





Have to learn fraction at age 6! Omg! It is a culture shock for me, haha!





This is amazing, your kids can even have a proper mini library for their reading program. This definitely cultivates your kids' reading habits.





And your kids will have the chance to spend 15-20 minutes to have boardgame. Well, what can you learn from boardgame? Board games play a crucial role in children's development and growth. Brain development, logical and reasoning skills, boost critical thinking and gain Spatial visualization ability.

They also have computer room to teach kids to learn to use mouse click, pc, and also a shadow projector room to let your kids to use touch screen to do other learning activities.

Charis Shining Star has many passionate, lovely, friendly teachers. Most of them are middle aged women, and I believe they also help in Charis Church over the weekend.




As for teachers, they will be at their best to have 1 teacher ratio to take up 15 students.

As you can see, all roundtable gather the students.

I saw more than 10 teachers during the Open Day. I assume they are pretty sufficient as for manpower.

The best is that they really implant full force of equipment and input lots of set-up to ensure a real school with fun learning fungates system, unlike others school that might have only the basic set-up: the tv, books, stationeries, some basic art materials, for example.

Age: 3-6 years old

Fee wise is according to the Cheras market. slightly higher than the normal kindy schools.

On the bad side, they really very strict on communicating with teachers only through message book and not Whatsapp at all.

Everything through calling office number, but not during the teaching time, which is the noon time probably 12-2pm only.

And every little fees will be counted in your bill. No payment, no release of all the school stuff.

Any extra time, or if you were late for pick up, you will get penalty, no mercy.
