28 Fireplace is on fire @ Ampang

As the usual trend, a simple interior design, it seems like a basement kinda feel. With the lightings, and a fireplace (not sure it's real or not, but it's not in the picture), the place is really on fire!

4 Oct 2015 - Normally you can't really get a real nice cafe in Ampang, a cafe with nice ambience, cosy area. So I was browsing around my favourite food booking app, http://offpeak.my/ and it brings me to 28 Fireplace. Figuring out where is it located, only to realized that a new cafe opened at the same row with La Risata Ampang. What I can see that 28 Fireplace pre-made most of the sandwiches, and selling pastries and cakes at their glass display area.





So this is the menu, volla! All the caffeine, non-coffee drinks, and some small bites.


Ciabatta Chicken Pesto with a side salad. Normally we have pesto sauce in pasta, and this is something different!


Tiramisu Torte - Layered tiramisu....hmm, how to describe this? Well, I feel it's crunchy with the peanut toppings, and the soft texture of the tiramisu layered cake.


Last but not least, a lovely cappuccino with the turquoise color of the cuppa. You know, I really love the turquoise color....or is it sky blue?

To be somehow different than other cafes, I would say their sandwiches would be great to try. However, if you are super hungry, please don't go to the cafe, as they serve small bites and coffee just like StarBucks. Well. just a reminder.

RESTORAN CHAN HAINAM KOPITIAM 赞记海南冰 yulek cheras - petai char keoy teow, hainam coffee

24 Sept 2020 - Everyone go gaga with 'hainam' and 冰室 as the coffeeshop names nowadays. Actually hainam is also the same as cham. Here is the menu, expensive or cheap? I am not sure why there is a hype naming the coffeeshop 冰室 cause the chinese words are more towards Hong Kong style. The neighbors were talking about this new hainam tea coffeeshop at Yulek. So, I went to try this siham sambal petai char keoy teow priced at rm9. What do you think of this combination? Good taste or merely for bring unique and viral? For me, the petai couldnt fit in together with the CKT. BUT, the belacan is so freshly done and very spicy. The cook didnt use the normal belacan paste (dark red color). On the wok hei part, the plate of char keoy teow taste is blanch though. As for the coffee, I personally think their hainam coffee taste nicer than hainam tea. The hainam tea was tasteless on this day, but my 1st visit ordering hainam coffee is good.
