Coffee and toast at da men usj - Nasi kunyit, nasi kerabu, roasted chicken thigh, anson chee cheong fun

Spacious, clean design for all the furniture. 

*However, funny on the lighting though. Seems a lot of 'shadow' as you walk in.

21 Oct 2017 - WA! Big chicken thigh marinated for 24 hours, roasted softly like Kenny roger style...best to paired with mashed potatoes and healthy salad, unlike unhealthy carbo or French fries...like the skin that seasoned with pepper and salt, soft juicy meat... My boy finishes everything by himself.

13 Aug 2017 - Coffee toast at da men USJ. Modern local coffee shop, but they do not serve only toast and coffee, but also special local food for eg: nasi kunyit with ayam percik, Ipoh anson Chee cheong fun with radish and vegetable fillings, pandan roti jala, and nasi kerabu! Not many noodles choices, but they have alternative offers like big breakfast, croque monsieur, and English coffee! Fusion? Your taste to decide...can't believe all the foods there are that cheap, it is almost the same price of the food stall price, and free Aircond and comfortable zone, haha!

Finally, a cup of teh tarik, with less sweet milk as per my request.

Croque Monsieur

I ordered the croque monsieur, thought to give a try on something new apart from the local coffee shop menu. However, the bread slices are too thick, and I end up stuffing the carbo, more than me enjoying the ham or the cheese.

chee cheong fun and pandan roti jala

Well, a little mix feeling of here and there. First, the chee cheong fun with the vegetable fillings is splendid, with the pickled green chilli as always. However, matching this with curry chicken? Not really matching right?


And then ah ha, where else I can get roti jala in modern coffee cafe?! But alas, I can taste the pandan powder/ syrup more than the flour texture. Perhaps, the original roti jala would be better, and yes, roti jala match with curry chicken is perfect.

Very good marketing, stopping people to check out what they offer.

Nasi Kunyit with Ayam Percik

I like this. Nasi Kunyit with Ayam Percik. although not much strong fragrance from the kunyit paste, the ayam percik was mild spicy, and soft juicy meat.

As if I can't make the half boiled egg at home right? But well, when we have the right coffee, of course, I will order the half boiled eggs as well!
