24 April 2014 – Food porn time! This time, I have a dinner date with my lovely girlfriend, Roslin. As both of us want to have nice food around Ampang area, Roslin manages to locate Nong and Jimmy Thailand Seafood Restaurant at Ampang.
Oh ya, by the way, it is pork free, so my dear Muslim friends, please enjoy your dinner at here! :)
You will see Nong and Jimmy Seafood stall is just by the roadside, with the old zinc roof and open air stall. Please wear casual and simple, or else, you will sweat like a river!
Once we sit down, one of the hosts came to ask for my order. “What are the signatures?” I asked, and she replied, “Well, depends what you want.” So two of us ordered BBQ crab, sweet potato leaves, BBQ cockles, and last but not least, how can we miss out tomyam when we are here for Thailand food? So we order the seafood tomyam as I also crave for it, wondering how spicy will its tomyam be? Hmm…
Next to the BBQ area, it’s a stall of its famous mini you cakoi, or what we call it as oil stick. We try these cute little mini cakoi and dip them into pandan kaya. Crispy and yummy, but I would say the smallest plate is quite big portions for both of us.

The BBQ cockles dip into spicy chili sauce… guess? I would say their chili sauce is even spicier than their tomyam soup! And believe it or not, every cockle is clean and nicely done.

Seafood tomyam soup – I would say this is just okay, nothing to shout about. Maybe I had the real nice one back in Thailand!

Sweet potato leaves – surprisingly, they cooked it nicely. Smell nice and it is crunchy to eat!
Well, least we do not eat to go to all the way to PJ, Klang, Port Klang, or Kuala Selangor to enjoy seafood.
