The local Malaysian food - Uncle Joe's Kopitiam

24 Jan 2020 - It was the CNY holiday season and we understand that most of the restaurants were closed. We were lucky to pass by and saw this local restaurant is opened.

Of course, as expected, it is crowded as most of the restaurants are closed, and they are short of manpower.

For this, we give a try on their chee cheong fun, not really considered a hot food, cause all you need to do is prepare the Rice noodle roll upfront. For Uncle Joe's version, it is my firs time to see a different color of the sweet brown sauce. Their brown sauce is light , watery, unlike the traditional thicken brown sauce I have seen elsewhere.

As Uncle Joe's wrote in their Facebook Page that this is the Ipoh style of chee cheong fun, I would say the sauce is something different, not sure if that is the auhentic style of Ipoh Chee Cheong Fun, cause I was busy hunting others food whenever I am in Ipoh.

Refering this banner by erayn3, it seems that you can get few 6 signature items from Uncle Joe's Kopitiam: Nasi Lemak, curry mee, ipoh coffee, toasted bun, chicken soup noodle.

Based on their photo menu, I wanna ordered the chicken rice but it was fully sold out on that day.

For comfort local food with reasonable price, and comfortable seating, you may consider Uncle Joe's Kopitiam.
