28 April 2019 - As much as we were known to China cuisine...each city in China has its own signature cuisine. For this, we walk into this Shaxian Snacks Restaurant 刘记沙县小吃Amaya, where the China staff speaks no English at all, and we rely on the menu photos and Chinese word to make our order. We ordered their top signature Shaxian snacks: steamed dumplings, mini wonton dumplings and their fried onion plain handmade noodles. It is my first time trying out China dumplings apart from the commercial brand, dragon-1 dynasty. These little handmade meat dumplings were wrapped with soft thin dumpling skin (but so white till I doubt that if the flour can be so white or it was bleached). Texture, soup base all are awesome. The handmade plain noodles were really just plain noodles and the soya sauce, yet it is good for a carbo based starter.
