Black is Back with Arthur’s Day 2011

Let's celebrate!


So do you ever wonder why black is related with the name of Arthur? And why Arthur has Arthur’s
Day, and you do not have a day named after you? Just a brief story before I tell you why I am excited for Arthur’s Day, despite the beer part.

Arthur's Day refers to a series of music events which were first organized in 2009 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Guinness brewing company by its owner Diageo plc. The Arthur day was born as in to remember, Arthur Guinness, the father of Guinness, who was the founder of the Guinness brewery business. Guinness drinkers are expected to raise a glass to the memory of Arthur Guinness.

Why I am excited for Arthur’s Day 2011? well, with the love of music, with the great social network media to create more successful events at Malaysia, with united nation of the Malaysian people, with the nice Guinness Stout in my hand while enjoying the music, with all great artists I will be seeing in such a good memorable day for Arthur, of course I am excited for Arthur’s Day event!


 
Back then, The Black Eyed Peas was the first music artist to celebrate the first Arthur's Day events in Sunway Lagoon in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia back 2009. Arthur's Day 2010 took place on 23 September. Now, ladies and gentlemen, here comes year 23rd till 24th September 2011 at Malaysia, where we will show it to the world that we will remember Arthur Guinness by celebrating this very good day as in to respect him, and thanks him for bringing such a nice brew good beer to the world.

So what is the catch of this 24 hours global celebrations and live music events to mark yet another great year of Guinness goodness?

Details of the Arthur’s Day 2011 celebration are as below:

Date to party: 23 September 2011 (Friday)

Time: 6 pm onwards, but why don’t you come early to rock the world with me?

Venue: Speed City KL, Selangor Turf Club, where we speed up the music and party fast!

 Artistes performing: international R&B superstar Taio Cruz who sang the famous US Billboard no. 1 singles, “Break Your Heart” and “Dynamite”, and to make the party even greater, we might have a chance to see our 6 talented local music acts – Prema Yin, NakedBreed, Rosevelt, Dragon Red, Jin Hackman (feat. CSBTEA) and James Baum to perform on stage for us.

24 Sept 2020 - Everyone go gaga with 'hainam' and 冰室 as the coffeeshop names nowadays. Actually hainam is also the same as cham. Here is the menu, expensive or cheap? I am not sure why there is a hype naming the coffeeshop 冰室 cause the chinese words are more towards Hong Kong style. The neighbors were talking about this new hainam tea coffeeshop at Yulek. So, I went to try this siham sambal petai char keoy teow priced at rm9. What do you think of this combination? Good taste or merely for bring unique and viral? For me, the petai couldnt fit in together with the CKT. BUT, the belacan is so freshly done and very spicy. The cook didnt use the normal belacan paste (dark red color). On the wok hei part, the plate of char keoy teow taste is blanch though. As for the coffee, I personally think their hainam coffee taste nicer than hainam tea. The hainam tea was tasteless on this day, but my 1st visit ordering hainam coffee is good.
