WURST, MOV Hotel - Homemade sausage, meatballs, pasta




12 August 2018 - Chef Logan has his long chef journey in the f&b industry, and finally his dream come true. 



Hidden under the basement of mov hotel in changkat, one couldn't find this place as it's a hidden gem. WURST by its name, stands for German or Austrian sausage. But, Chef Logan made a great modern deli specialising in artisan pork-free sausages, meatballs, pastas and more! We create everything on site and serve only wholesome-hearty food, imported beers and really good times.


Given like a chic discotheque signboard was written handmade sausages, it almost feels like a big living room at basement home. 

 


Modern contemporary dining setup, comfortable sofa, imported brewed beers and artisan wines. 



Wurst is definitely underrated as chef Logan is always a humble and low profile personality.

A tourist will not feel those typical hotel breakfast being the same, while the locals who are sausage lovers will come over to try more than 12 kinds of handmade sausages - beef, veal, mutton, lamb, chicken marinated with local herbs like Sarawak pepper, cajun, green curry, etc. handmade sausages could be a little bit drier than the usual commercial sausages. pork free meats tend to have leaner meat with less fats.

Flinders ranch salad. Feta cheese, salad, pine nuts and refreshing watermelon. My first try with watermelon salad so it's surprising my taste bud.
 


The kids took the carbonara and bolognese, which I would say, his fresh pasta taste like the authentic Italian way.
Carbonara egg yolk and mozzarella, also the bolognese fresh tomatoes sauce, savoury, delicious, kids finish in 10 mins.
Their sweet corn bread is incredible soft, a little sweet corn taste and totally aromatic as if freshly baked smell coming through your nose. 




Well, I'm a little local craving for BBQ chicken kabobs (kebabs) with Chipotle glaze, perfectly grilled with natural herbs, and very tasty. 

  


Angus beef meatballs - cheesy paneer, tomato passata, as if a cheese tomato baked rice texture. 



Salmorejo soup - fresh tomato soup with eggs and smoked duck bits. Surprise not many people order because we finish the whole fresh tomato soup. 


Affordable price, each item costs only rm20-36. In a boutique hotel in changkat? Yes.
No parking, public parking at open price rm10-15. Big kids or adult need to go up to top floor to slide down (another entrance)



Well, probably some slide and meal served right in front of you as you slide down and land on a cushion!
