Wong kok char chan teng - Shanghai noodles soup, milk tea

Image
27 Feb 2018 - My long time lover - wong Kok shanghai mee texture is my preferred choice of noodle when I'm at this Hong Kong style cafe. Have been loyal to this shanghai noodles since 2007 at least. Love at first sight. However, soup base and the Hong Kong milk tea weren't great, automatic and nice to taste as before. Cut cost with lower quality, it feels good still to see Chinese head chef, but I feel sad as it used to be so nice.

27 Feb 2018 - Never tired of the food at Sapore, especially when we get real Italian chef cooking always something new or special for us! Besides their signature octopus, suckling Pig, dry-aged T-bone steak, sunday Spanish paella Rice, they offer a good range of tapas, pizza, cheese, cold cuts, pasta, main course of all different type of meats. Italian dessert in indulgence is their Kahlua tiramisu, panda cotta, creme brule. Refreshing sangria wine with fresh fruits cuts are tipsy. At the above, it is their kid's favourite and food lovers craving for. spaghetti bolognese with finely chopped vegetables, minced meat and tomato sauce.   If you are a pizza lover, you will come for this, Chef Fabio making pizza everything from scratch, from the pizza dough, fresh tomato paste, fresh mozzarella cheese. The best you can even personalize your own pizza by selecting 1-2 cold cuts from Italy and Spain! The best is chef made me a special heart love pizza as t

Golden dragonboat Chinese restaurant - CNY poon choy

Image
Wow, seems poon choy sells better than whole CNY set lunch... The key is the broth or sauce base where each layer of seafood, meat, vegetables, mushroom, need to be well cooked and also taste delicious. Golden steamboat did a great CNY poon choy this time round. Fried fresh prawns, Chinese mushrooms, scallop stuffed using white radish, my favorite fatt Choy, sea cucumber, 猪根 pork tendon, classy abalones.  The others meat, however were imbalanced. We keep 'digging' lots of braised pork knuckles and duck meat, very little chicken meats, surprise that we get lots of goose palms, and we feel uncomfortable trying those. Ps: parking rate rm5 during CNY with some old mafias threats, otherwise normally it's free parking.

Restaurant steamboat stadium negara - BBQ chicken wings, steamboat, pork free chinese dishes

Image
25 Feb 2018 - When it comes to 'where to have simple meal nearby Kl' guide, restaurant steamboat stadium negara will pop in my mind. They still hire proper locals Chinese chefs. this Yee sang costs RM78 hmmm, also this is the smallest packet we can get. Of course, these are not really those fresh type, just that the yee sang considered normal and nothing much to talk about.also, pricey. the good old style of bbq chicken wing (childhood taste) can't get elsewhere. Addictive. A pair of chicken wings is RM4.30. The way they BBQ the chicken wings is phenomenal. not sweet, the sizzling bbq chicken wing skin, the juicy chicken wing meat....omg! Aromatic Salted egg yolk squid comes in pieces, which is not chewy and yet delicious. RM28  Hmm, quite small portion at such price right? Home-made huge size of smooth egg tofu beancurd along-with fresh vegetables. Signature dry fried clams lala are fresh and mild spicy RM28. Small, but yet satisfying.

Dragon-i CNY dinner

Image
8 Feb 2018 -  Dragon-I started off famous with its mini xiao loong bao (small dumplings with thick broth and meat fillings) and their hand-pulled noodles.  This time round, we ordered ala care dishes instead. I can say the chef is doing a Great job maintaining the basic chinese cuisine. We ordered seafood tofu clay pot, stir fried French beans, fish sour soup, and  its signature xiao long bao (tasted the same from the first time I tried, the moment of bursting soup as you took one whole bite of the mini dumpling 😱) We ordered this similar to the beggar chicken, but the taste is moderate. However, deep fried eel is way too sweet.
