Fantastic Family Stay @ Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort

7-9 June 2015 - Yoohoo, we are going for a family aka business holiday again! This time round, we are heading to Hyatt Regency at Kuantan, Pahang.

Envy you, can take flight at such a young age, but oh well, probably you couldn't recall that you are taking a plane at 1 year old!

I found this colorful rice super interesting, and it is called Nasi Hujan Panas - turn out it is made of Basmathi rice with food colorings of red, green, and yellow. However, it is also nice to go along with ayam masak merah atau ikan keli goreng berlada, probably the famous dishes at the East Coast of Malaysia.

After our lunch, we make a tour to check out the facilities of Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort.

A big and air-conditioned indoor playground for my kid, splendid.

Well, you must come here for the beaches, including the white sands and coral reefs.

We ordered their signature fish at their restaurant, Kampung Restaurant.

Well, someone took my sunglasses and pose like a model.

Sunburn time!

Errr,,,,dry surfing on the sand, my boy?

Feel so safe, luxury, relaxing with such fresh air, ocean breezes, hot sun shining upon us, not to mention this is what I called real private and clean beach.

Well, got to know this famous Hoi Yin curry noodles, walking distance from Hyatt Regency Kuantan resort.

Surprise surprise, Hoi Yin curry noodles are different packaging, taste, from the super strong taste of curry noodles I have at Kuala Lumpur. What they use: half hard boiled egg, fish cakes, bean curd skins, tofu pok, steam chicken, cockles....a light curry soup, served along with the noodles of your choice.

And then also within walking distance, everyone seems to go crazy over this fried durian at Windyhills, a kiosk that claims they are the durian king. But, nothing really must try for this fried durian, and it doesn't really impress me. However, if you are a tourist and you can take up the challenge of eating durian, Malaysia king of fruits, with strong odour of fillings, and formidable thorn-covered husk, try this then.

I came back to Sampan Bar, the bar that serves you nice cocktails and special drinks.

Turned out the sampan has a real story behind - a Vietnamese refugee boat back in year 1980.

The side view of the sampan bar.

Once my hubby was free, we took a brisk walk along the beach outside of Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort.

Took a photo as enjoying Eddy Buskers singing some charming English songs, some local Malay songs, as the rhythm can be heard from playing his guitar.

Came back to the Italian Bistro at Hyatt Regency for their authentic Italian cuisine.

Not to mention that with I am with a discerning epicurean and an Italian chef like my husband, we give thumbs up on their fine food and great wine, with the stunning sea views, such a romantic moment!

We also try out their hotel food services to see how great the food was.

My all time favourite Mexican quesadilla, grilled with melted cheese and lots of chicken fillings inside. Different dipping sauces as you can see, I was all satisfied with my order

Curious and try out Cantonese fried Keoy Teow. Well, I am all surprised that the chef really did a very good job with this order as well!

The sound of the wave at the ocean, clear sky, clean water...well, you couldn't ask for more!

And here is my little boy, enjoying the swimming as I ask him to look at the camera.

My hotel review: Definitely a great stay, quiet ambiance, feeling truly private, relaxing and enjoying every moment during my stay at Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort. Hotel room is clean, not to mentioned both local and international food cuisine are super delicious and meet our expectation.
