Loke Yew Road Fishball Noodle in Taman Midah Cheras - Handmade Fish balls and Fish cake

25 Aug 2016 - Oops, looks like the previous old pork noodles shop has closed in Taman Midah. Now, here comes the Loke Yew Road Fish Ball Noodle. Well, didn't realize there is famous fish ball noodles in Loke Yew though.

I visited this shop once, but when I saw it is all fishballs, and other processed food items. I walked away. Today, I come in, only to found out that actually all their fish balls, fish cakes, and mini dumplings are all made by themselves.

As written at the banner, this is the 3rd generation family business. I can see that there is 2 sibilings are the one who operate the coffee shop, with the sister still in charge of the cooking, while the brother is in charge of the food orders and other staff.

Let's go for the signature fish cake - Yeap, crispy from the outside, you can feel the real fish meat taste inside. Price at RM 5-6 if not mistaken.

This is their classic fish ball noodles portion. I would say for RM 5-6, this is so much better than any other food stalls or coffee shop. Given generously the 4 nice own-made fishballs, mini dumplings, few slices of fish cakes, and the thin keoy teow, followed by the sweet fish soup, this is a surprise for me, because I am not a fan of fish ball noodles.

I ask the Indonesian/ Malay lady: what are your signature drink? She just replied saying that most people in Taman Midah enjoy drinking local coffee. So, I ordered their classic local coffee, aromatic and less sweet as per my request.

Ah ha, got their namecard, and reemphasize they make hand-made Ikan Parang fish ball. Love fish ball noodles? You gonna love this:
