Special local food in Taman Midah, Cheras

18 Feb - March 2016 - When you are looking for special local food based on blog recommendation, you won't really see much of online advertisement and even hardly seeing them through any lifestyle food apps.

This is when you start to look for blog or friend's recommendation.

You came to the right blog. In here, I will share what I love about unique food in Taman Midah, Cheras.

Cheras is a suburb of Kuala Lumpur, the capital metropolis of Malaysia. The township is located to the south-east of Kuala Lumpur. Cheras is also adjacent to Ampang to the north and Kajang to the south, both of which are major cities within the metropolitan area of Kuala Lumpur.

Taman Midah is a small old neighbourhood, some of us might know the Taman as Bolton. Don't know why it has been changed.

So where do I get food recommendation? Family and friends bring me to the foodie place.

Crystal Clear Thick Mee hoon and Thin Mee Hoon at Kedai Kopi Soon Fatt

You can see the crystal noodle (thick noodle), rice noodle (mee hoon), and ipoh slice noodle means 'Ho Fun' or 'Keoy Teow'. the speciality is that all their meatball, fishball and seafood ball are handmade. Normally all will be sold out before lunch time.

Ordered the mixed balls, thick crystal noodle, and pumpkin soup base. Vegetables so that you won't feel that meaty. finish every drop of the soup and never left anything in the bowl.

Ying Jie is in blue top sitting down. No, not she, Ying Jie serves quite good chicken rice too. I am referring to the vegetarian stall.

This is the tomyam curry vegetarian noodle. This time, he uses the asam laksa noodle, we name it as 'lai fun' in cantonese. creamy spicy and sour soup, served with fresh tomatoes, lady fingers, tou fu pok and fu chuk.

Oldtime SengKuang Street in Tesco Supermarket, Taman Midah. Near to Tesco Food Court.

It's my first time try this Sengkuang snack... big oval piece of Jicama or turnip, a layer of dark red sauce similar with rojak sauce, and toppings of peanuts, sugar and crispy pop? Seller told me it's a childhood snack but i can't recall eating it...cooling snack in such a hot weather at night!
